The Department of Medical Oncology has trained and appointed in close collaboration with the department of Otolaryngology a Nurse Practitioner. She works with patients with head and neck tumors, who are being treated with chemo radiation therapy. 

This patient group receives a complex, physically as well as mentally heavy treatment in different departments and therefore needs extra support. By ensuring extra attention, support and continuity of the care, the chance increases considerably that the patient will undergo the complete treatment as planned without delay. This will have a positive influence on the results of the treatment and the prognosis of the patient.
