Welcome to the website of the Guesthouse (Gastenverblijf).

When your partner, family member or friend has been admitted to the VU University Medical Center (VUmc) you will undoubtedly want to stay close by. The patient too will feel reassured knowing that a loved one is nearby. The VUmc offers such a facility in a separate unit called the Gastenverblijf.

The Gastenverblijf is located next to the hospital, but away from the hospital atmosphere. Family members, partners and friends of patients can stay here in guest rooms equipped with ample domestic facilities. The interior and colours of the Gastenverblijf exude an atmosphere of warmth and rest. Spacious rooms, each with its own bathroom offer all modern conveniences to ensure a pleasant stay.

The Gastenverblijf is also open to patients undergoing intensive outpatient treatment. Outpatients must be able to take care of themselves or to bring a companion.
